Simple Dimple

After almost 7 months waiting i finally got my self-employed visa. It's almost the same waiting period as my work permit in 2011. My path to get permanent resident permit is somehow longer than others and not that smooth (sigh). But I do believe that there will be solution for any problem if you try your best. By law if you quit the job for whatever reason in the first 24 months you need to find a new job and re-apply a work permit within 3 months otherwise Migrationsverket 'can' revoke your permit. In reality they won't as long as you don't brake any law. My solution is starting a company in company limited form (AB in swedish). Then you run the company by sending invoice and give yourself salary instead. This is a simple setup but the more difficult step is finding customer. Frankly i'm quite lucky for this step since I have helpful networking. Thanks to them that made me got visa extension by all jobs during the last 2 years. I'll write more about how...

Traditional clothes after midsummer dance around Maypole  Midsummer eve is the day that filled with many activities. It's usually on Friday between 19-25 June of each year. Besides Christmas, midsummer is an important period of the year which many swedes will visit their parents and family or get together with friends.                  One fun activity is making a flower wreath with many kinds of flowers. There's a believe that if we collect 7 kinds of flower and put below the pillow, we'll see a person who we'll marry in our dream....sweet huh? :) This year I join midsummer with Mod's family. She has a guest from Germany, N'Tum, who's doing internship there.

วันชาติของสวีเดน (Sveriges nationalsdag) คือวันที่ 6 มิถุนายนของทุกๆปี ตามจุดต่างๆ ของเมืองก็มีการเฉลิมฉลองที่แตกต่างกันออกไป เนื่องจากสีธงชาติหรือสีประจำชาติคือสีเหลืองน้ำเงิน ในวันนี้เราจะเห็นผู้คนแต่งตัวด้วยสองสีนี้เยอะเป็นพิเศษ ไม่ก็มีการถือธงชาติติดตัว วันนี้กษัตริย์สวีเดนจะเสด็จออกมาพบปะประชาชน ณ บริเวณวังหลวง (Royal palace or Kungliga slott) ในแต่ละที่จะมีการเฉลิมฉลองต่างๆ กัน ถ้ามีการแสดงจะมีคนที่แต่งการชุดประจำชาติมาให้ชม พิธีที่สำคัญอย่างหนึ่งสำหรับชาวต่างชาติที่พึ่งได้รับสัญชาติสวีเดน จะไปรวมกันที่ที่ว่าการสต็อกโฮล์ม (Stockholm City Hall or Stadshuset) เพื่อ....(จำไม่ได้ ไม่เคยไปต้องไปหาข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม :) ) โดยในทุกๆ ปีจะมีผู้ได้รับสัญชาติเป็นจำนวนหลักหมื่นคนเลยที่เดียว ล่าสุด 2014 ประมาณ 40000 คน เราเองก็อยากได้บ้างนะ แต่ไม่รู้จะมีวันนั้นไหม อดทนคอยต่อไปอีกอย่างน้อยสองปี ^^

Graduation day คือวันจบการศึกษาระดับม.ปลายของเด็กสวีดิช คนที่นี่ถือว่าเป็นจุดเปลี่ยนจากความเป็นเด็กเข้าสู่ผู้ใหญ่ (อายุ18+) หลังจากนี้จะสามารถทำงานได้เต็มที่และที่สำคัญสามารถดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ได้อย่างถูกกฏหมาย ในงานจบการศึกษาพ่อแม่ ญาติพี่น้องจะมาร่วมแสดงความยินดีกันไม่ต่างอะไรกับงานรับปริญญาบ้านเรา นอกจากดอกไม้แล้วยังนิยมทำป้ายอันใหญ่ติดรูปวัยเด็กของคนที่จบการศึกษา แต่ละคนหน้าจิ้มลิ้ม ฟันหลอดูตลกมากไม่รุเจ้าตัวจะดีใจหรืออายกันแน่ หลังพิธีทางการที่โรงเรียน (Gymnasium) ก็มาถึงพิธีไม่เป็นทางการคือการที่เด็กๆ จะเช่ารถบรรทุกเปิดด้านหลังแล้วขึ้นไปยืนร้องเพลงเปิดเพลงเต้น ถอดเสื้อ ดื่มเบียร์ สาดน้ำกันเองแล้วแห่ไปรอบๆ เมือง พวกญาตเด็กแขกจะชอบโชว์ด้วยการเอาญาติมาขับรถเปิดประทุน ตามขบวนแยก รถบรรทุกไม่น่ารำคาญเท่าไร จะรำคาญก็ไอ่พวกรถเปิดประทุนของแขกนี่แหละ นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาในช่วงนี้อาจจะงงๆ ว่ามันทำบ้าอะไรกัน แต่นี่แหละ คือวิถีเพี้ยนๆ อีกแบบของคนสวีดิช ^^
